History
333 Lincoln Way W. was the local Ford Garage in the 1920's, owned and operated by the Diehl family (who lived in the house next door that was built in the 1700's).
On June 7th, 1929, Henry Ford motored across the Lincoln Highway in south central Pennsylvania,. making a visit to the York Motor Company and several stops at various locations in York and Adams Counties.
As Henry traveled west, you can imagine the anticipation of folks at the New Oxford Ford Garage in hopes Henry Ford would stop.
Wouldn't you know, due to road construction, Henry was detoured through Hanover, then on to Gettysburg, totally bypassing New Oxford!
Don't be like Henry and miss stopping at our store!
